About Us

Empowering Lives, Transforming Futures

Samriddha Aadhar Nepal (SAAN) is a non-profit, non-governmental social development organization established in 2022 in Lalitpur, Nepal. Initiated and led by multidisciplinary youth/women, SAAN focuses on empowering marginalized communities, with a primary emphasis on children, girls, and women. We are dedicated to addressing social challenges through a holistic approach that combines education, advocacy, and community-driven initiatives. Likewise, we prioritize issues of gender-based violence, women’s empowerment, and girls’ education to foster sustainable social development and promote gender equality across Nepal.

Through its diverse programs, SAAN strives to create lasting social change by improving the economic, social, and political status of vulnerable groups. The organization is committed to enhancing access to education, health services, and economic opportunities, particularly for women and children in underserved areas. By promoting awareness and empowering individuals, SAAN further aims to build a more inclusive and equitable society.

Since its inception, SAAN has reached over 15,000 people through skill development, health education, awareness raising against gender-based violence, and drugs; and community empowerment programs. We particularly focus on youth mobilization and further economic and social empowerment initiatives. SAAN’s community-centered approach emphasizes partnerships and participatory development to create a sustainable impact on women and children.
